DCFPI is excited to welcome Neha Baskar as our new intern, supporting our early childhood education work! In this role, Neha will help expand access to resources for District families and educators. Her work will focus on childcare subsidies and the Pay Equity Fund.
Neha is an undergraduate student at the College of William & Mary, currently studying economics and math. She brings experience in political advocacy, student government, and self-directed research. Neha previously worked with local officials to navigate public policy issues in her community and is excited to use those same skills to push for more equitable fiscal solutions in DC. She is eager to learn more about researching key issues and working to create meaningful change for historically marginalized groups.
In her free time, Neha enjoys going on long runs, cozying up with a new novel, and experimenting in the kitchen.
