DC Public Schools Chancellor Kaya Henderson soon will announce which schools will be closed, from a list of 20 announced last fall. While Henderson says that small under-enrolled schools are expensive to operate, but DCFPI finds the savings will be relatively modest and won’t necessarily improve the quality of remaining schools.
