This week, 44 organizations that represent, advocate for, and employ District residents voiced their support for a DC health exchange that ensures quality and affordable health plans are sold to all DC consumers. The groups, including DCFPI, called on Mayor Gray and DC Council to support the creation of a unified health insurance market that offers strong consumer protections and incorporates the entire markets for individuals and small businesses. A unified market in the Exchange guarantees that residents will have robust choice among plans that meet the same standards for quality and consumer protection.
