The “fiscal cliff.” You may be sick of hearing about it but still know that it is important to understand. This month’s column explores how the fiscal cliff really is more of a slope and assesses the possible impact on DC. While the DC region could be hurt if there is a massive “sequestration” in the federal budget, the most likely budget outcome will avoid these cuts in the short term and allow DC’s economy to continue to grow.
