WASHINGTON, DC – The DC Fiscal Policy Institute (DCFPI) is the grateful recipient of a $100,000 Challenge Grant from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) and made possible with support from the Sandler Family Foundation. Every new and increased donation made to DCFPI toward general operations between April 2021-March 2022 will be matched by the Challenge Grant, up to $100,000.
As part of a campaign built around DCFPI’s 20th Anniversary year and the new executive leadership of Erica Williams, DCFPI will use the Challenge Grant to invite donors to make critical investments in strategic planning, capacity building, leadership development, and long-term stability so that the next 20 years will be DCFPI’s best yet.
CBPP’s Challenge Grant aims to strengthen the fundraising operations and organizational sustainability of State Priorities Partnership members—a national network of fiscal and economic policy organizations located in 41 states, DC, and Puerto Rico that CBPP coordinates. Groups selected for the program will only receive matched dollars for the amounts they raise.

CBPP received funding for the Challenge Grant program from the Sandler Family Foundation, whose mission is to invest in strategic organizations and exceptional leaders to improve the rights, opportunities and well-being of others, especially the most vulnerable and disadvantaged.
